Questions people ask
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to our server or anyone else. You can even turn off the internet after the page loads.
Will the quality drop?
We keep the highest quality that fits your limit. For very small limits we also reduce the pixel size slightly, which keeps the picture sharp.
The portal says my file is too small. What do I do?
Open the minimum size option and type the portal's minimum KB. We raise the file to that size without changing the picture.
Why can't I select text in a compressed PDF?
Big reductions save each page as an optimised image. That is ideal for scans and form uploads. Keep the original if you need selectable text.
Does 1 KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Portals differ, so we keep your file safely inside the limit under both readings.
